Another February General Round Up

cc_general_round_upAnother week of updates for you, starting with our CC Olympics: they are under way with some competitions started, more being announced and first medals being given out tonight — we’ve got events ranging from target courses to relay races through to one on ones and pub quiz challenges. It’s a unique, ongoing event in parallel with the Sochi Olympics and we hope all members are keeping an eye on the posted scheduled and get a chance to go for gold!

It’s been a slightly more quiet week for the TF2 folks as Australian wonderboys @custardo @Hayze @Theyleon @Francis @Pishk and @Gunblade continue to gel and test their squad under varying conditions, including a communications black-out which gave them real insight on their non-verbal positioning and response.

Adventures in the strange land of EA are taking an exciting twist as Second Assault was announced which will feature the return of Operation Firestorm, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman and of course Operation Metro remade for Frostbite 3 engine on Tuesday — this is going to be a heck of a thing to explore with excitement running through the group on an optimistic high. It doesn’t end there since the Titanfall beta has dropped in and captured the imagination of those who got their beta keys and rapidly stomped up to level limits – knock on wood – the hype seems to live up to expectations with a gorgeous, fast-paced shooter that really seems to reward skill (minus a certain *cough* pistol) and offers such an amazing variety of experiences; it looks like we may be in for a rare treat having two such cathartic and explosive titles to play.

DayZ seems to be experiencing the calm before the storm as community meetings get under way and functionality is tweaked on our beta server to bring you one of the best experiences we can muster in the DayZ Epoch universe. Stay tuned there, it’s going to be pretty amazing!

Last, but not least, we formally welcome two new members in to our fold: @thanatos and @BertTheHost — welcome aboard gentlemen, we’re proud to share our tags with you, huzzah!
