cc//Announces New CSS Team

After recently removing the previous CounterStrike: Source line-up, Crack Clan is now able to announce their replacements. Previously known as the former Veritas line-up of 2009 the team have now reformed and are looking to push on to the future.

The team had the following to say on their move to Crack Clan:

“Hey, for those that have forgotten us we were the former Veritas line up, we disbanded around about this time last year, and since that time most of us been doing odd bits and bobs and whoreing wow :D.  We decided that we wanted to reform the Veritas line up and get back into the competitive side of CSS.  Over the past month we have been playing together just to get the feel back for the game and basically dust off any cobwebs that might be there that a large gap of not playing brings, and right now its going great, the chemistry is there and the k33ness is still there which is awesome.

As a team we want to keep to the same ideas and values as with the previous line ups, hard work and dedication and to achieve towards a goal, this is how we had success before and we know that this is the way to approach it again.  Now more than ever we are all excited about getting back into the swing of things and just enjoying playing together and progressing as we did before.

With that said we now have a great step in which all of us are excited to take, we have been picked up by the well known organisation of Crack Clan, Crack is a fantastic org which I think suits us well as they share the same goals and thoughts as us and I know we are the right team for them to really push for great things.

We decided to pick admire up as every one in the team felt with his recent LAN placement and improvements as a player it would be a great opportunity for him to progress and achieve.  As a team now we want to look toward the upcoming Multiplay i Series LANs and the next EPS Season, our main goal is to attend as many LANs as possible especially in Europe and really push the team to see what we are all capable of.

With all this said we would like to thank Crack Clan for giving us this opportunity, and we all look forward to playing again.”

cc//Announces CSS Team Change

Crack Clan announce that after a positive performance at i39 and the addition of “Bowzar” to the team, internal complications in recent weeks would have unfortunately led toward requiring more roster changes, losing some of the progress and momentum built by the current team.  With the current 2010 LAN’s fast approaching, Crack Clan will be moving quickly to announce a new team.

We would like to thank the players for their efforts and wish them good luck with their future projects.

Chris “ska” Cullinane
Rhys “Rhys” Jones
Christopher “Bowzar” Bowey

cc// CSS adds Bowzar

After  a strong performance placing 4th at i39 last weekend  in Newbury, the team decided that changes were needed. Chris ‘ska’ Cullinane will be removed from the line up and replaced by Christopher ‘Bowzar‘ Bowey.

Team Leader Josh ‘ ADMiRE‘ Sharp gave the following statement:

“After our recent performance at i39 we felt as if we needed to make a squad change, we have chosen to drop Chris “ska” Cullinae not through choice but we feel it was needed to help us progress.  Ska is a great player with great aim, and a really nice lad so it was hard to say bye :(  Now with the positives, we have picked up Chris ‘Bowzar‘ Bowey we feel this is a great addition to the squad and from recent PCWs this seems to be the right pickup.  Bowzar has a strong knowledge of the game and has played for various skilled teams, most noticeably FRAGMA$TER$ TOXiC placing 5th at i36 and also coming in at 4th spot in EPS season 2. All I have left to say now is welcome Chris!”

Christopher ‘Bowzar‘ Bowey gave the following statement:

“It is my great pleasure to be joining Crack Clan after watching them perform amazing at i39 after only 1 month of being together most of which I have known for a long while, some of them being past enemies at events, but after i39 with having a great time with my mates I decided to get back into the game and find the right combination of great friends as well as professional skill level.  Since Crack Clan have been a huge organization since 1998 I believe that it is a strong foundation for our lineup to stay together and achieve great results from UK LANs to European.  Replacing SKA I’m sure was a difficult task for them as hes a great player and goes into everything with a positive attitude which I’m sure rubbed off on the team.  I would also like to thank Holy for all the support he has given the team over the past month and Tankey for also providing for the team as well as driving the trains.”

cc//CSS Place 4th at I39

After an intense weekend in Newbury, England our CSS team finished 4th at Multiplay’s I-Series 39, The team were seeded 12th and turned some heads with some strong performances, with cc//ShadowmaN receiving a nomination for MVP of the tournament .

After a somewhat easy group stage in which the team remained undefeated with wins over the other seeds in our group  Rasta(20-10), putyourhandsup.auRic(22-8) and VirginsRus(20-10).

We were drawn against Twistedplay.GSG on Dust2, a game we won 16-9, this led to our first meeting with first seed fm! Toxic, Toxic won…just.

Dropped to the lower bracket the team faced The Imperial.UK on train in a very close game some smart play from ADMiRE when the scores were poised at 15-14 saw the team scrape through to the next round 16-14, to face 3rd seed Twistedplay.GLG on nuke the team triumphed 16-12 and were through to the next stage where problems with the Xplicit team saw them disqualified and the team through to unfortunately their last game of the tournament a rematch against fm! Toxic on dust2 the game finished 16-6.

Team-Captain Josh ‘ADMiRE’ Sharp had this to say about their performance:

“We’re all really, really pleased with our performance. We were aiming for a top 6 placing and placed a very strong 4th. With the team only having been together a month this is a sign of things to come in the future. Thanks once again to Crack for making this LAN a possibility and we look forward to playing for them in the future.”
