This weekend Crack Clan’s Call of Duty 4 team will be competing at The Gameland LAN in the Auditorium Parco della Musica in the North of Rome, Italy. With 32 of the top European & Italian teams in attendance and competing for a part of €13,300, our side will have their work cut-out, especially as last minute problems have meant that Tigii is unable to attend the event. Thankfully, Reason Gaming have allowed us to use RaigeKi at this event as we look for a podium finish. €6000 is on offer for first place, and we will be competing with the likes of Team Dignitas, ButtonBashers and eSuba for the title.

Crack Clan at The Gameland is as follows:

Update 9: Unfortunately the team were unable to repeat their groupstage performance and were defeated 9-13 by FatGames. However they still came away with a commendable 3rd position at an event where most of the top European teams were present! Congratulations!

Update 8: 13.00: The Lower Bracket Final is just starting against FatGames on mp_strike, the same map we played against Speed-Link. We’re hoping for a repeat performance from that game and that against FatGames in the groupstage where we won 13-7, however the Brits have been on a roll taking down some strong sides, their latest result a 13-7 win against Speed-Link to meet us. If we win this match we’ll face ButtonBashers in the Grand Final. The schedule is a bit tight with our flights home in the late afternoon, so let’s hope that doesn’t affect the proceedings too much!

Update 7 21.00: Unfortunately we went from leading 7-6 to lose the Upper Bracket Final to ButtonBashers 13-7. We’ll now play the winner of Fatgames vs Speed-Link in the Lower Bracket Final tomorrow morning. If we win that, its a second shot at ButtonBashers in the Grand Final!

Update 6 19.20: We’ve just learned that we’ve defeated Speed-Link 13-6. Fatgames have just started against ButtonBashers to see who’ll be facing us in the Upper Bracket Final. A top 3 position and €1500 is already guarenteed! Back at home, our CounterStrike: Source team are about to play the EuroCup Winner Bracket Final against Reason Gaming on or at

Update 5 18.40 : We’re going live against Speed-Link on mp_strike!

Update 4: We’ve just defeated eSuba in double overtime, 19-15. This was after a 13-4 win over UNIR. We now advance to face Speed-Link in the Semi Final, who defeated cubesports 13-10. In the other semi-final, ButtonBashers take on FatGames, who we defeated in the groupstage but managed to put Dignitas down to the lower bracket.

Update 3: Yesterday’s results have now come throgh, and were convincing wins over both the other teams in our group. The highly-rated FatGames were defeated 13-7, whilst 13-1 was the scoreline against EG.Quid. The playoffs should now be underway, with our first match against the Spanish UNIR, and if we win that, we will play the winner of eSuba vs Infused in what appears to be the hardest part of the bracket.

Update 2: The news coming out of Rome is that we’ve won our group and will be resuming play tomorrow at 12.00CET for the knockout stage. We don’t have any results from the groups aside from beating A.S. Quadrifoglio 13-5

Update 1: We have been drawn in Group E with the British topteam FatGames, A.S. Quadrifoglio who are known from being Italy’s representative in the ESL Major Series, and local side EG.Quid. The top 2 teams will qualify directly for the knockout stages, with the 3rd place team advancing to a second groupstage of 3 teams, with the top 2 also qualifying for the knockouts. Our matches should be starting any time now (20.30CET).
