Re: New PC :X

I just built the setup that you listed (well something comparable) and I love it. I get a smooth 250 fps in TF2 and if you're lucky enough to get a batch of those XII 550BE's that have the 3rd and 4th core in tact like I was.. you're golden :D

Re: Software Engineering - Project Managment

If you're talking about keeping track of things like bugs, I highly recommend mantis. It's opensource and pretty simple to setup/use and keep logs.

Re: Windows 7 Vs. Linux : which one will win ?

I agree with Dox that the server market is 100% dominated by *nix implementations. It goes without saying that the home computing... gaming... media center markets are dominated by Windows and probably will be for some time. If you take a look at the mobile market... *nix is dominating every windows...

Re: mtab errors

While I do appreciate the cynicism and am grateful for your overly helpful answer I managed to fix it relatively shortly after posting and forgot to update it. Incase anyone has this problem it was caused by LILO and GRUB being installed (one by CentOS and the other by a misread in Ghost). sudo chro...

mtab errors

Okay, currently I'm running a VIA EPIA Nano-ITX board and I'm booting a 2.4 kernel off of a read only 2GB Sandisk CF Card. Occasionally when a restart is done (these a read only drives so there are only hard power downs) the drive will receive an mtab error. If we pull the CF card, run mkfs and then...

Re: New video card dosnt like tf2

I'd try rolling back or updating your video drivers, assuming you updated them with the one's you got with the card. I've heard of quite a few people having problems lately with stuttering or jitteryness in TF2 play due to the drivers - try both and it should fix it. Also, I don't remember the GT se...

[NA][TF2] Yaddy

Hey guys, I used to be in crack clan when I was 16 - I might know some of you :p Either way, I've been asked by a few of your TF2 dudes to play for them for a couple of leagues so hopefully you'll all have me back for a while :) Hope to see you soon! -Yadion - aka Psyxthebestdcpilottoexiststilltoday

Re: Graphics Card

I believe the 9800GX2 still out preforms any ATI card to date. However, the difference is minimal. Go with whatever's cheaper IMO.

Hahaha... Let me be clear, I don't care what the rest of the world thinks about Me, Texas, or America. I happen to think that the fact that you think we are doing something wrong, validates my argument that we are doing it right. Any misunderstandings on this point? I don't instruct you on how to l...
