UPDATE: I've gone through and tried everything suggested, filed support tickets and everything.. to no avail.. So, in spite of really wanting to play with everyone, I'm ceasing efforts; I've already gobbled up precious hours and, unfortunately, it's the poorest-running game I've met in years so I'm just binning it.

I pretty much told myself that I wouldn't even bother to launch the game until I hear about an optimization patch. The game detects only 4 unique cards in SLI/Crossfire. As in, if you have an SLI/Crossfire, it's unlikely that the game will utilize power from BOTH GPUs.

I played the beta for a good amount of time with a couple of housemates while in uni. It really bored me, and that was ignoring all the serious issues with the game. I wasn't surprised in the slightest when it tanked. And when I tried the demo for Crackdown 2 as well, I didn't understand how a company like that could still be in business. And then, of course, they shut down. Can't say I didn't see it coming.

I'll see if any of my friends are trying it, and see what they say. Unless it is amazing all of a sudden, I think I will be giving it a miss. Especially F2P.
