Here is a clip from the new show that kind of sparked the debate and quite honest is kind of humbling..

How does it make you feel as an American? or as Canadian etc. etc.

I will watch that video tonight when i have access to some audio. It was a great conversation, it was level-headed, intelligent and was really nice to have a conversation about such topics without anyone getting angry (why it's often avoided, but imo, badly badly needs discussing).

Some of you know that i'm a bit of a news junkie, in that I read a lot of it / find it interesting.

I bring you this piece which isn't in the news media
the territory of the Russian Federation continues to constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States, and hereby declare a national emergency to deal with that threat.

Obama's executive order from yesterday, declares a state of emergency and just.. yeah.. give it a read.

My take on it is that it seems routine, you know -- picking up the loose pieces of russian fission material from their old stockpiles, stopping it from being resold to terrorists/rogue states... but the real news here is the declaration of national emergency, which gives the president other powers.

Why does there have to be a "greatest country in the world"?
