It was on this day that a great American President was removed from office, and his murder never solved.

What drives me crazy is that most media outlets refer to Oswald as the sole assassin.. That holds about as much credibility with me as Professor Plum in the study with the revolver..

Heh, well, technically speaking certain people feel they found the murder weapon in question, though there are differences in the serial numbers involved which make the finding dubious..

The Mannlicher-Carcano Italian war surplus rifle that Oswald ordered (under the name of Hidell) for a couple of dollars out of the back of a magazine. 6.5x52mm, introduced in 1891, the top rifle experts in the world were unable to fire off as many rounds with the accuracy needed in order to pull off the assassination as described by the Warren Commission..

The photos from the Warren Commission archives compared to photos allegedly taken of the same rifle by Life magazine show some interesting discrepancies:

The photo allegedly taken of Oswald holding the rifle and some 'communist propaganda'. The House Select Committee on Assassinations deemed this to be a genuine, damning photo in the 1970s. A higher resolution version of this photo reveals (in my eyes) two blatant pieces of evidence as to this photograph being doctored. 1) There is a visible crop mark near his face, 2) The shadow below Oswald's nose does not match the shadow of the rest of the body.

Naw, I was just in to the whole JFK assassination thing a while ago. It always piqued my interest and filled me with wonder; I find it fascinating how quickly and easily "normal life" resumed after this leader of a nation was killed in broad daylight..
