Spore

Post by dox » Tue Jun 17, 2008 1:14 pm

With the 'leaked' Spore Creature Creator yesterday (official release of the demo will be today) we get our first hands-on taste of this highly anticipated release. Personally speaking: I've been following this for some time and seen all the videos, to get my hands on this Creature Creator was a fuzzy feeling -- though it really doesn't let you do that much it gives you that tiny taste that leaves you wanting more.. It's intuitive, easy, funny, creative and simply seems to work as promised! Anyone else played with this? I'm pretty excited about the full game now :)

Cool thing about Spore -- your creature's data is stored in PNG files, meaning you can post them on forums, and then people can download the ones they think are cool and load them!

I have been waiting for spore since I saw this video here

I heard they are making the game less graphic so it has a lower rating, making it so a younger crowd will be able to get it. I am not surprised it took them years to develop this game, it is just massive in design and content and I cant wait for it to come out.

Wow that's the first movie of Spore I've seen that doesn't include phallic shaped creatures.

As a person who knows almost nothing about this game, why should I be excited about its release?

I've finally downloaded the creature creator, and I must say it is a lot of fun to just play around with. You don't even have to have a creative mind.... just start playing around and eventually something comes out of it that looks really cool!

AFP is reporting that, as of a week ago, the number of creatures in the "Spore" database exceeded the number of known species on Earth.

Looks like it's available on EA Download tomorrow.. I am highly likely to grab it, who else is going to dive in on the impulse?

I've heard from the people who've played it already that it doesn't really live up to expectations at all, and I'm already kind of burned out on the creature creator so it might be a bit before I check it out...

Got it on friday, it's just minigames attached to the creature/building/vehicle creators, luckily i bought it my sister as a present so im not too disappointed and i know she'll love it, not as advanced or as fun as i first expected!
