Ventrilo

Post by Clumsy » Sun Nov 09, 2008 2:15 am

As many of you know, me and Silencer are married..
That kinda mean that we live in the same house;)
And have the same Ip adress.
When we then try to log on to vent, it won't allow us both to.
Only one of us can be on.The other one gets a error message, that it can't be two on the same Ip on vent.
Anyone know how to solve this?

Dont know if theres another way of doing it, but i split my ethernet connection at uni, which assigns different IP addresses to each computer, using one of these..

i assume if you run this from your router, the same as i do, it would work :)

Google?

In some cases you will want to allow multiple users to connect to your Ventrilo server when they are sharing the same IP. You will need to follow the following steps in order to make this possible:

1) Log into your ventrilo server
2) Log into admin for your ventrilo server.
3) Right Click anywhere in ventrilo and choose "Server Admin" --> "User Editor"
4) In the new window that appears you will need to select "(Guest)" from the left column.
5) On the right side of the window you will need to choose the "Network" tab.
6) At the bottom of this tab you can set to allow multiple connections from the same IP.

I think a vent admin or so needs to to it?
Look for the one that gave you vent registration?

Hope it works? GL
