It is very good. A friend of mine is already using it and he loves it. I, on the other hand, am going to stick with XP for a while since I know all my games and programs work with it so far.

I'm happy with it - but it is not as fast as XP.

Very happy with it, upgraded from XP and have not noticed a difference speed wise and all my games work! Did have a couple of problems installing some hardware but got round all of the problems!

Would be interesting to know if anyone's having any sound problems.

No issues at all, and I'm still using the release candidate :)

if I remember correctly you can't upgrade from XP to win7 - only from vista.

Apart from that there is a known bug which may cause an upgrade install to hang at 62% complete and an upgrade may take quite a long time (talking hours here potentially).

did you do clean install or install over vista and hope all your saved stuff would be okay?!

literally booted it up and told it to install on the same partition as XP was on, it moved all my XP documents into my windows7 documents folder, put all my program files into program files(x86) and put my old windows installation into a folder called windows.old, I was worried I'd lose some stuff but couldn't be bothered to burn it all to cd so just went for it and was pleasantly suprised!

And this was from build 6956, the RTM is even faster than that.

It seems to hang when i'm using multiple programs, and I find Photoshop especially slow.
