Haha yeah I noticed that too - I think it's weird that people so young are allowed to compete?!

I was disappointed the girlie footballers got smashed last night by Canada, they played rubbish and nowhere near as good as they had previously!

Also, on the subject of the Javelin: I can't believe that the moment the javelin lands there are people practically standing on the spot already, one foot wrong and there's gonna be tears!!! AND one of the female Javelin contenders has got HAIRY ARMPITS - wtf.

If they're the best in their country at what they do, why let age matter?

Yeah, I was just saying to people earlier - it's SO nice to not see:

Shirt Grabbing
Spitting
Crotch Scratching
Diving
Racial Abuse
Primadonna-esque behaviour

The Olympic football standards are FAR higher than anything you see in the premier leagues. Excellent viewing.

I must say, I'm hooked - if it's on I'm watching it! Even sports I don't enjoy! I don't know what happened, the media really killed it for me at the start, but a week in, and I'm utterly fixated.

Bit of a silly statement considering a Cuban girl punched an American early on in the competition and the Brazilians have been diving all over the place. The standard of football is also far lower than that of the premiership!

No way. The premier league players may have their moments of class, but they just don't make up for all the other aspects of their game which fall short in terms of sportsmanship.

Anyway!

Things to watch today - diving, hockey and discus :)
